SERENITY

"I had always wanted to take a yoga class, but I was unsure of what to expect. I went into Sayde's class knowing I was overweight, out of shape and not appreciating my body. And I had some concerns with old injuries. Sayde helped me become more comfortable with how my body was and to know that I could learn to appreciate and treat it with more respect. She assured those of us who were not perfectly shaped or toned that it was okay; we should only do what we can and not hurt ourselves as we do yoga. I learned to relax, rediscovered how to breathe, and became aware of what was going on with parts of my body. And the rest of my family has shown an interest in it, so I am glad I can share this with them. I really look forward to each and every yoga class."

PREGNANCY

At my doctor’s office, the nurse mentioned the benefits of doing yoga during pregnancy. Wanting to take advantage of anything that could help my pregnancy and delivery, I signed up for Sayde's prenatal yoga class. I had never done any yoga previously, but Sayde has made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. Although I am still learning the yoga positions, there are many things about doing yoga that I enjoy. Yoga encourages taking deep, full breaths which feels especially good now with the pain I have had in my ribcage and back. It has also helped me stay flexible. The aspect of the class that I have probably liked the most is how relaxing yoga can be. I would definitely recommend other expecting moms to try Sayde's class. I wish I had started even sooner!
